Anointed with Devotional Volition
and with Buoyant Joy
(Tomas's overall title)
1. Blessed are
the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. KJV
"Delighted
are those who surrender to God,
because heaven's sovereign counsel belongs to them." 1
Co-joined with designs of buoyant joy are those who see each moment
anew
through an infusion of devotional volition,
thereby rendering the conditions for impending splendor,
and ending the specter of projected expectations. (Tomas)
Delighted are the humble (poor
in pride),
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(basic idea from Lamsa)
The unassuming are gratified with the gift of existence,
and do not grow attached to status
or dependence on an after-life for happiness. (Tomas)
"Happy and aligned with the
One are those who find their home in the breathing;
to them belong the inner kingdom and queendom of heaven." 2
Well satisfied are those who postpone doubt
and simplify their lives through naturalness of action.
Although humble in means,
the air they breathe carries them from feverish stumbling.
Modest as it seems, life sustaining breath arises from a silent
source and
(through the concourse of combined sound and motion)
ignites the waiting mind with devotion
to the One from whom we come. (Tomas)
(note: the word rookh, or ruha, has
multiple meanings, thus we have four very different translations
to show us how various can be the interpretations)

for in the same manner they persecuted the prophets who were before
you." 12.
