www.abwoon.com offers books, tapes,
and CDs of Jesus' words in Aramaic as rendered through Dr. Neil
Douglas-Klotz, a brilliant scholar/musician/spiritual teacher and
founder of Dances of Universal peace.
Tomas and Rahmaneh offer a CD "Calling the Hearer" and
cassette tape "Becoming Peace," both collections of songs
which Spirit gave us to remember and share insights we were given.
The songs invite you to sing along, and people tell us their children
join in! They are great for transforming driving or chore time into
a celebration. E-mail us for more information: rahtomas@gmail.com
Final note: As you explore the Aramaic Jesus, you will find numerous
pronunciations used. Dr. Lamsa, Dr. Errico, Dr. DeFrancisco, and
rahmaneh are fairly close in their rendering of the Lord's Prayer.
Dr. Klotz and others in the DOUP community have a distinct style,
and Archbishop Jajjawi yet another. Perhaps there are dozens of
other slightly different versions. Our Middle Eastern ancestors
had little opportunity to consolidate information, so each geographical
area would develop its own style. Also, you will see Aramaic written
in Estrangela, classical Aramaic, Hebrew, and Arabic, as well as
phonetic English within where you will find many spellings. Rah
encourage you to take to heart the universality of the message,
let it strengthen your commitment to your own divine nature, and
not worry about details. Posh b'shayna Remain in peace.
